Essential softwares for mechanical engineers

Here are some softwares listed below : 1.  AutoCAD  ( A basic CAD software for design and drafting purpose) 2.  Pro/Engineer  ( A complete parametric 3D CAD/CAM/CAE software) 3.  C Language  (A programming language) 4.  ANSYS  ( An analysis or simulation software) AutoCAD and its Capabilities   AutoCAD is a drafting software which involves drawing of 2D objects as well as 3D modelling. Importance of AutoCAD Being a Mechanical student, one need to do  final year project.  It involves  experimental/fabrication work  or  theoretical analysis.  To understake any project, one need to use at least one software or more. For experimental work , the components of parts should be fabricated with required dimensions. So, 2D or 3D drawing/models are required to be prepared in  AutoCAD  or in other drafting software. After creation of the drawing, printout/drawing-sheet of it must be given to fabricator who will create the component in physical form. This procedure is same

Arc Welding and its different processes

Arc Welding: The arc welding is a fusion welding process in which the welding heat is obtained from an electric arc struck between the work(or base metal) and an electrode. The temperature of the heat produced by the electric arc is of the order of 6000°C to 7000°C. Both the direct current (D.C) and alternating current(A.C) may be used for arc welding, but the direct current is preferred for most purposes. When the work is connected to the positive terminal of the D.C welding machine and the negative terminal to an electrode holder, the welding set up is said to have straight polarity. On the other hand, when work is connected to negative and the electrode to a positive terminal, then the welding set up is said to have reversed polarity. The straight polarity is preferable for some welds while for other welds reversed polarity should be used. Following are the two types of arc welding depending upon the type of electrode: ( A): Un shielded arc welding: When a large electrode

What after B.Tech?

The society is more concerned about the job and salary you get after education and not the intellectual property you have earned. We prefer keeping silent and let things happen only to cry later about the mistakes we made. Always remember these points: You don’t need to follow others but to follow your heart. Always say YES I CAN. There are many fields except job and higher degree, you may explore them. Things which you can do after B.Tech :  Go for an M.Tech degree. Prepare for Civil Services. Short Term Courses. Do an MBA. Campus Placement. Explore the artist in you! Be a Change Maker. Join the army.  Go Abroad. Entrepreneurship-Start your venture. Do share your opinions with me on what you think about this post. Also please share any other exciting career options available which i may missed. Saurabh_savy

Guide for freshers

Hello friends. We all are very excited when we got admission in college and say bye bye to our school days.We feel relaxed by thinking that we are in the college now and there is no rules and regulations for us. There are many points which may help you: Respect your seniors :  They are more experienced and you have to gather knowledge from them as much as possible. Relationship status : Be in relationship in your first year otherwise you will become a dead body at the end of last semester(specially for mechanical engineers). Bunks : Bunking your class seems to be pretty cool but don't overflow in the crowd decision.Be your own boss, make your own decisions. Rattu : Keep your basics clear but don't turn in rattu tota(book worm).Enjoy your college days in first year. Assignments : It seems that 100% students are not interested to make assignments but from my personal point of view it will helps you a lot in your semester exam(specially mathematics). I hope
